We are looking for a Food & Beverage Server/Event Server
POSITION DETAILS:
Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Embrace the hotel’s Food & Beverage Standards and its Vision, Mission, and Values.
2. Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
3. Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
4. Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
5. Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
6.
Contribute to the financial success of the department through breakage/equipment control.
7. Ensure cleanliness of the front and back of the house and ensure the safety of guests.
RESTAURANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Contribute to the overall financial success of the department through suggestive selling and up-selling.
2. May perform Relief Bartender duties on occasion.
3. Other duties as assigned.
BANQUET RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interpret banquet event orders to ensure the proper set up, hospitable service, and clearing of food and beverage while maintaining all standards.
2. Utilize creativity in the building and design of buffets and décor.
3. Meet and greet guests effectively. Serve banquet functions. Restock supplies.
4. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. Previous restaurant experience is preferred.
2. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol; knowledge of wine service is an asset.
3. Responsible Beverage Server Certificate.

Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills with a passion to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
5. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
6. Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, and provide quality guest service.
7. Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts.
8. Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting or standing for long periods of time.
9. Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: From $15.20 per hour
