Responsibilities :
- Design, calculate and stock list fire sprinkler projects in a construction environment. Verify that all deliverables meet NFPA standards and local ordinance.
- Focus on contract and renovation designs
- Liaise between management, estimating, design, fabrication, installation and project management as a valuable team member resulting in increased profitability.
- Assist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire protection design team.
- General support for Troy installation projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent.
- Knowledge of design layout, hydraulic calculations,
stock listing and project management would be an asset.
- 5+ years' experience in fire protection design
- NICET certification and / or have the ability to become certified.
- Working expertise of AutoCAD and hydraulic calculations.
- Experience with HydraCAD is an asset.
