POSITION: Talent Acquisition Specialist
STATUS: Part-Time Remote Role (12 Month Contract)

Primary Role of This Position
The primary role of the part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist is to acquire talent from various sources to fill open positions across the country for salaried and hourly roles. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies as well as develop new, creative recruiting ideas. The part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible to manage the recruitment process from intake meeting with hiring manager to following to presenting prepared offers to potential candidates. The part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we hire the best possible talent.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all internal and external recruitment processes including:
- Facilitate an intake meeting with the hiring manager and collaboratively develop the recruitment process for each role
- Create and update job descriptions and job postings collaboratively with hiring managers
- Post open roles on various websites, corporate site, LinkedIn etc
- Screen and manage all incoming resumes manually and using ATS
- Conduct pre-screening interviews with candidates and making recommendations to hiring manager
- Co-ordinate interviews with hiring manager and other leadership as determined in the intake meeting
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees
- Manage distribution of assessments, background checks and documented reference checks
- Report progress, create and manage a recruitment tracker, develop KPI’s and dashboards to update the Director and Manager of HR weekly
- Active recruitment: Network through industry contacts, association memberships,
trade groups and employees
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters
- Perform other special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- College diploma or degree
- 5 years of recruitment experience preferrable in the supply chain environment
- CHRP an asset
- Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Experience with passive and active recruitment methods
- Experience with LinkedIn recruiter and Boolean searches
- Experience recruiting hourly roles
- Complete understanding of the full-cycle recruitment practices
- Experience with interpreting recruitment KPI’s and formulating strategies
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Behavioural based interviewing skills and experience
- Demonstrated skills with respect to interviewing and identifying suitable candidates
- Ability to work under changing priorities, multitask effectively and prioritize based on business needs
- Ability to relate to all levels of personnel and build strong working relationships
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (focus on Excel)
- On-site requirement as per business needs
