Your Opportunity
We’re looking for a full-time Senior Marketing Specialist to join our growing team with a focus on our Buildings Business Line. This position will work closely with technical project managers to create compelling messages that set our firm apart and key business development leaders to help execute account plans.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Specialist works with leadership throughout the region to proactively support business development, build client relationships, and develop and execute strategic initiatives. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, meet aggressive deadlines, and prepare proposals and presentations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide input and work closely with leadership to support Stantec’s corporate and regional goals for revenue growth, profitability, and market leadership.
- Outline your role in supporting Account Managers to achieve their plan goals; develop and maintain an up-to-date Client Plan.
- Work with business developers on Capture Plans that include a pursuit schedule with milestones, research needs, and action items.
- Partner with leadership to develop key clients and project “must wins” to target in each operating year.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Stantec's markets, clients, capabilities, and competitors.
- Support cross-promotion of Stantec's various service offerings.
- Provide marketing support for all aspects related to the proposal process.
- Prepare high-impact proposals, presentations, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.
- Serve in a quality control capacity during the preparation and review of proposal materials.
- Provide planning support for client presentations.
- Facilitate debrief meetings following project wins/losses.
- Monitor opportunity-related websites and publications for project opportunities.
- Attend key business and community functions to represent Stantec’s leadership team.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practices.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong presentation skills in small or large group environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients.
- Awareness that ongoing training may involve professional development courses.
Education and Experience
- Post-Secondary in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing role in a medium to large sized organization.
