Knowledgeable in using online databases and familiar with legal practice rules?Our client a long time legal firm servicing clients internationally is seeking a Legal Assistant with experience in Litigation to join their team in Downtown Montreal.What is offered to you:- Salary up to $85K based on experience- Hybrid 3 days in office + 2 remote from home- Vacation: 3 weeks per year- Comprehensive Health Insurance:
50% employer-paid after 3 months- RRSP Match: Up to 2% after 3 months- Personal and Sick Leave: 2 days for illness and 4 days for personal leave annually- Parking: Paid by the employerWe would love to meet:- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience as a legal assistant.in litigation- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office 365- Databases: Knowledge of online databases like Soquij and Land Registry- Legal Knowledge: Familiar with legal practice rules- Skills: Strong communication, ability to work under pressure, and organizational skills- Additional: Familiarity with Maître and iManage is an assetAssist lawyers by completing assigned tasks within reasonable deadlines, including:- Drafting letters and legal documents- Notifying and serving legal documents- Managing case protocols and court deadlines- Scheduling and following up on reminders- Communicating with legal stakeholders- Preparing procedural books, evidence, and authorities- Opening, organizing,
