What to expect: We currently have an opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Real Estate Department.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Working alongside our senior real estate paralegal to assist with the following:
- Opening files
- Scanning documents
- Title Searches
- Bank Runs
- Ordering Strata Forms
- Requesting Documents from Realty offices
- Emailing Clients to obtain file opening information
- Requesting payout statements
- Preparing final reports for lenders
- Preparing for signing appointments
- Booking appointments
- Requesting documents from lawyer/notary offices for conveyancing
- Closing files and completing the file closing checklist
Qualifications
1. 1-3 years experience working in a similar role
2.
A solid understanding of conveyancing practices in British Columbia
3. Graduate from a recognized LAA program
4. Excellent spoken English, written composition, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
5. Multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Exceptional organizational and document management skills, with outstanding attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
