Ontario Experienced Pharmacy Assistant Wanted

We are looking for an energetic, reliable person to join our team. Must have great customer service skills, be able to work with or without supervision and be able to maintain a neat and tidy work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling according to Standards

· Data entry of patient care information into Kroll,







- Third Party adjudication

· Accurate dispensing prescription medications

· Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems,

· Assist with general OTC inquiries and referral to Pharmacist where required

· Handling customer prescription pick up

· Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy

· Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements

· Receive new and repeat prescription orders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

· Prepare and submit orders

· Adjudicate third party billing, online

· Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary

· Manage incoming faxes according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice

· Accurately scan and file completed documentation as per Pharmacy Standards of Practice

· Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems,

· General clerical and tidiness duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

· experience as an Ontario Pharmacy Assistant;

. AND Experience with Kroll







· excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;

· strong communication skills;

· demonstrated customer service experience;

· proficient computer/data/entry skills with Kroll and Microsoft Office.

WORK HOURS:

Flexible schedule - days up to 6:00pm only – very few Saturdays till 3pm – Sunday and Holidays Off

This will start as a regular part-time position that may extend to full-time based upon performance.

Compensation will be based on experience and skill set.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 38 per week







Ability to commute/relocate:

- Orleans, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

- DCS / DEC (required)

Experience:

- Organizational skills: 1 year (required)
- Ontario Pharmacy Assistant: 1 year (required)
- Telus Kroll: 1 year (required)

Language:

- Fluent English (required)
- French (preferred)
