DESCRIPTION
The AWS Identity organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our team building innovative cloud-based identity and access management services. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will collaborate with talented engineers to create and deploy systems and services to meet the needs of our customers.
Key job responsibilities
1. Design, implement, test and deploy highly scalable distributed systems and services
2. Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions while understanding system interdependencies and limitations
3. Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods
4. Create clear, maintainable,
well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices
5. Participate in code reviews, source control management, build processes, release management, and operations
6. Work closely across teams and disciplines to deliver high-quality products and services
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
3. Experience building large-scale distributed systems and cloud services
