Work Environment:
- Flat rate pay of $100 per day for being on call.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team. The role involves testing camera equipment and safely transporting goods. The driver will be on call from 10 AM to 10 PM and must be available for pickups during this period. There will be periods of downtime when no pickups are required, but the driver must remain ready to respond to pickup requests at any time.
Typical Day:
- Morning: The driver may begin at home or need to pick up basic equipment for testing inventory throughout the day.
- During the Day: On-call from 10 AM to 10 PM for pickups. The exact timing of pickups is unpredictable, so flexibility is key. Details will be sent as soon as a pickup is confirmed,
and drivers will have adequate time to reach the location and complete the task.
- Free Time: When no pickups are pending, drivers can spend their time as they wish but must be ready to leave when a pickup request is made.
- End of Day: Inventory is dropped off at the company’s office, and drivers are paid based on time and distance driven. The average driving time per day is around 5-6 hours.
Scope of Work:
- Inventory Pickup/Purchase: Pick up and purchase inventory within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond. Drives can range from short trips to a few hours. Occasional travel outside the GTA may be required.
- Equipment Testing/Inspection: Test and inspect camera equipment (training will be provided).
- Communication: Maintain consistent communication with the company throughout the day.
- Delivery:
Safely transport inventory back to the company.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Vehicle: Must have a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Mobile Device: A phone capable of hosting a hotspot is required.
- Driving: Must be comfortable driving both short and long distances, including navigating busy areas such as downtown Toronto.
- Camera Knowledge: Familiarity with cameras and related technology is preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
- Language Proficiency: Must speak, read, and understand English fluently.
Schedule Requirements:
- Available to work from 10 AM to 10 PM.
- Must commit to at least two full days per week, with additional availability preferred.
Expenses Covered:
- Gas:
Reimbursement based on distance traveled and fuel efficiency.
- Parking: Reimbursement for parking fees incurred during work.
Contract Terms:
- Duration: Contract lengths vary from a few weeks to several months, depending on availability and company needs. Long-term opportunities are possible based on company growth.
- Payment: $100 per day, with an additional $15 per hour for actual driving time, including trips to ATMs, gas stations, or while searching for parking. Drivers typically drive about five hours per day.
Legal and Compliance:
This is an independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.
