Description
THE ROLE:
Our valued client is seeking a Director of Marketing Accounting for a 3-6 month contract. They are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing Accounting to lead the accounting/marketing team through a crucial transition period. This role is essential in ensuring the effective management of marketing-related accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Typical Duties Include
- Lead and manage the marketing accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial reports and compliance deadlines with relevant regulations
- Ensure all marketing-related financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives and reporting deadlines
- Drive the team to deliver on deadlines, ensuring all reporting and financial activities are completed on time
- Collaborate with senior management to support decision-making and provide financial insights related to marketing operations
- Identify risks and opportunities within the marketing accounting function and propose solutions to mitigate risks
About You
With over 15 years of full cycle accounting experience, you bring significant exposure to marketing accounting within the energy sector. You possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record in leading teams through change and driving results. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills have always helped to collaborate effectively with all levels of stakeholders. Recognized for your strong analytical skills, leveraging them to identify trends, risks, and opportunities effectively,
you thrive in high-pressure situations, competent in meeting tight deadlines and delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 15+ years of experience in full cycle accounting, with significant exposure to marketing accounting within the energy sector
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead teams through change and drive results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to collaborate across various departments
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
