Procurement Specialist
This role is for our client in the mining and metals industry, supporting their procurement team with a range of administrative and strategic tasks. The individual in this position will work closely with Procurement Project Managers (PPM), managing the source-to-contract process, ensuring data accuracy, building reports, capturing savings, and contributing to the development of training materials. Additionally, they will help identify opportunities to integrate AI into procurement processes to enhance overall efficiency.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $36 to $41, based on experience.
• 12-month contract.
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid work:
4 days per week at the office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to PPMs, including due diligence, financial verification, and purchase order completion.
• Manage the source-to-contract process, including proposal analysis and ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain procurement performance reports to track progress and highlight areas for improvement.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in the procurement planning tool.
• Monitor and document cost savings within the procurement process.
• Create and deliver training materials for procurement-related tasks.
• Identify opportunities for AI integration to improve efficiency in procurement processes.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or related administrative roles.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Power Query, Power BI, and Power Platform is considered an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and be proactive and detail-oriented.
• Familiarity with AI applications in procurement is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support clients in both languages.
