Partners Community Health (PCH) is a new not-for-profit organization, focused on bringing healthcare services together around the needs of people living in Mississauga and West Toronto. PCH currently operates Wellbrook Place East and West, a combined 632-beds Long Term Care Home and part of PCH’s larger strategy that will introduce innovative and inclusive programs and services and new models of care delivery. Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) for a one-year contract position.
The ideal candidate will provide HR expertise and support to managers and employees across the organization. Acting as a key liaison between the HR department and business units, the HRBP will help drive business success through innovative HR strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with department leaders to understand business objectives and provide proactive HR support
- Provide strategic HR guidance on talent management, employee relations, organizational design, and workforce planning
- Support and implement HR initiatives related to employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and staff on all HR-related issues
- Handle employee relations matters, including performance improvement, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Assist in change management initiatives and support organizational transformation projects
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop data-driven recommendations for business improvement
- Lead or support HR projects such as diversity & inclusion initiatives, wellness programs, and policy development
- Provide guidance on compensation and benefits issues
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with proven expertise as an HR Business Partner
- Labor Relations Expertise: Solid experience in labor relations, particularly in working with unions, handling grievances, and interpreting/applying collective agreements
- Occupational Health & Safety:
In-depth knowledge and experience with provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation and associated regulations
- Disability Claims Management: Proven experience in managing disability claims and working with provincial workers' compensation systems
- Relationship Building: Strong ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with leaders and unions
- Communication Skills: Excellent consultative, presentation, and business communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at multiple levels
- Legislation Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of provincial and federal HR legislation and employment regulations
- HRIS system Expertise: Strong expertise in HRIS systems, including modules for recruitment, performance management, learning and development and onboarding.
Expertise with Dayforce is preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for business purposes
