The York Region Children’s Aid Society (YRCAS) is a non-profit community organization legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect. As a leader within the child welfare sector, we partner with parents, caregivers,

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
MAJOR RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Assist in developing, testing, and deploying business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Design and implement automation workflows with Power Automate to streamline business processes.
- Create and maintain data models in Dataverse, SQL Datawarehouse.
- Work on reports and dashboards in Power BI to provide meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Power Platform applications and workflows.
- Provide documentation and user training materials as needed.
- Architects data models that are used in business reporting, analytics, business performance, usage stats, automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Python for Web Scrapping & Automation.
- SQL – SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, Datawarehouse, Stored Procedure, SQL Server Agent.
- Basic understanding of data management, process automation, and workflow design.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Agile Project Management.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experience with Power Platform integration using connectors and APIs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. Azure, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and SQL Server, Office365, PowerBI).
- Experience with Python Libraries used for wen scrapping and building applications.
- Experience with Database management platforms (SSMS, Dataverse, SharePoint).
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
PAY GRADE: $18 - $21 per hour.
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 33.75 hours per week. Some flexibility is supported to meet the needs of the Co-op Placement Student’s Educational Requirements.
