McMillan has an exciting opportunity in our Toronto office as an Enterprise Support Specialist. In this new role for the IT Team, you will be a key link between the Enterprise Architecture Team and the Technical Service desk. You will also be responsible for managing complex IT issues while maintaining documentation, supporting end-users and collaborating with various IT specialist to enhance system reliability and performance.





The position will work closely with the Manager, Enterprise Architecture to resolve escalated incidents and help ensure processes and standards are documented and support the Enterprise Architecture (EA) domain.

Please note that this role offers a hybrid workweek. Each week will combine both working in the office for one day and working at home for the balance. Your hybrid schedule will start once you join McMillan!

What You'll Do

- Provide technical support and work closely with development and enterprise teams on the implementation and support of new and existing information technology systems and services
- Resolve escalated incidents including but not limited to:
- Utilizing established processes
- Escalate to the right service owners when necessary
- Follow-up to resolution
- Create/Update documentation and Knowledge Based Articles where needed.
- Socialize resolutions and documentation with Technical Service Desk for future Triaging and Incidents.







- Assist in supporting, maintaining and improving IT processes by creating and maintaining technical documentation (including standards and procedures) as required
- Collaborates with firm members and IT staff on an ongoing basis to collect feedback to improve the core technology experience
- Proactively investigate and participate in making recommendations for new technology adoption where appropriate
- Participates in projects as required, and other tasks as assigned
- Assist in understanding and clarifying business requirements, concentrating on the current but keeping future requirements in mind
- Assist in the design, development, documentation and implementation of technical solutions
- Work collaboratively with other IT departments and the user community






- Ensure proper resolution of any system issues as established in the SLA
- Provide after hours support outside of regular business hours as needed
- Willing and able to travel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; experience may be considered as substitution
- 3-5+ years of IT experience with enterprise architecture, Windows 10/11 deployment and management, and software distribution and management tools – Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and Powershell, M365
- Experience with writing SQL Queries and Microsoft SQL an asset
- Exposure to Microsoft product stack (Windows Server, Exchange Server,





SharePoint Server, SQL Server) an asset
- Demonstrated ability to articulate deep technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including large groups of stakeholders
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders
- Applies a high level of critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills and is able to anticipate complex problems and identify potential solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and take ownership and accountability for services
- Some knowledge or experience in either Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Objective -C, C/C++, Python, ASP.NET would be considered an asset
- Experience with Legal applications an asset
