Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team in the Pharmacy Technician program. In this program, students gain the specialized knowledge and training needed to deliver pharmacy services in community and hospital settings. This program is fully accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs, and learning outcomes meet the entry-to-practice competency requirements of the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities. We are looking for part-time professors to teach the following courses:

- Community and Pharmacy Dispensing
- Institutional and Hospital Dispensing
- Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding







Sheridan professors are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Delivering course curriculum in the Community Dispensing Lab according to the course outline, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques;
- Evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned course;
- Utilizing appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning;
- Working closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure course learning outcomes are met by specifying or implementing learning approaches;
- Attending periodic faculty meetings;
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

The successful candidate(s) will also meet the following qualifications:

- Registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with 2 years experience in a community pharmacy.
- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists is required.
- Familiar with the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA)





Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Sterile Preparations; advanced compounding training/certification an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in Healthcare.
- Network of contacts with other professionals in the Healthcare industry is an asset.
