Reporting to the National Director, Human Resources, the Supervisor, Human Resources Support will lead a team of Human Resources Coordinators and oversee the coordination of several human resources areas. This person's main responsibilities will be to manage all processes related to the HR Support function, to supervise the team and ensure that procedures are followed, in addition to setting priorities, coordinating the department's activities and mobilizing the team so that service delivery is of the highest quality and in line with the company's expectations and standards.
Assigned responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, develop and grow HR Support team members;
- Coordinate HR administrative functions across all service channels (phone calls, emails, in-person requests, etc.);
- Act as an expert in HR services, benefits, leave, absence administration, HRIS and timesheet operations, and ensure data integrity;
- Manage team performance through communications, regular individual meetings and team meetings, as well as developing performance standards and contributing to the development of their skills;
- Carry out welcome and integration sessions for new corporate employees, prepare integration plans for them by coordinating information with the hiring manager, and manage employee files;
- Encourage, develop and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees at all levels and departments of the organization;
- Participate in strategic decisions and strategy development for Human Resources administrative functions, as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to ensure quality, compliance and efficiency objectives are met;
- Ensure the implementation,
understanding and application of human resources management tools;
- Resolve complex employee lifecycle issues in collaboration with payroll, HR business partner, talent acquisition and IT support teams;
- Maintain a dashboard of team performance indicators;
- Carry out special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Success factors
- Technical background: 3 to 5 years' experience in human resources, combined with experience in team supervision, will enable you to meet this new challenge successfully;
- Bilingualism: Excellent proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, in order to communicate with the company's managers across Canada, as well as within its HR team;
- IT expertise: You are very comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite,
and have experience with a human resources information system (UKG, an asset);
- Leadership: As an expert in your field with a wealth of knowledge in human resources management, you have a talent for mobilizing your employees to achieve objectives and build a positive, collaborative culture. Not a fan of hierarchical management, you favor participative management within your team. You have the ability to develop your employees to the best of their abilities;
- Collaborative spirit: A true team player, you encourage collaboration with your colleagues to facilitate learning. You know how to build relationships with internal and external customers and become a trusted business partner whose advice is greatly appreciated;
- Organizational skills:
You have excellent priority and stress management skills, despite tight deadlines. Your rigor and constant follow-through ensure that your tasks and projects are completed on schedule;
- Sense of initiative: You are resourceful, energetic and autonomous. Curious, you're on the lookout for best practices, and any opportunity is a good one to put your creativity to work;
- Travel: Occasional travel to other sites within the company to support team responsibilities and promote operational excellence.
