Our valued professional services client is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to support the SAP projects within a complex PMO environment.
Initial 4-month contract. Hybrid work model (3 days/month on-site in Halifax)
The successful candidate will support all facets of project management, including budgets, schedules, procurements, stakeholders, risks, and quality. This resource will manage projects with scope that includes the development and delivery of solutions by various teams and subject matter experts. The successful resource will collaborate with internal partners, including technology, risk, and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage work plans for assigned project pillars in collaboration with Pillar Leads.
- Contribute to defining project management processes, standards, and rules of engagement.
- Ensure project activities are executed according to approved plans, scope, and timeline.
- Produce required management deliverables, seeking approval when necessary.
- Manage project issues and risks, escalating as necessary.
- Communicate and support Pillar teams in applying defined project management processes.
- Guide and assist team members as required, ensuring user experience (UX) is prioritized throughout the project phases.
- Advocate for the project within the organization.
Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing complex projects/programs.
- Experience managing SAP implementation projects or SAP S/4Hana transformation projects.
- Experience within a Project/Program Structure, including matrix governance and cross-project collaboration.
- Proven experience managing large projects (preferably ERP solutions) in multi-stakeholder environments.
Nice to Have Skills:
- PMP certification.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (e.g., SaaS, PaaS).
- Understanding of aligning project management with user experience.
