Position: Senior DevOps EngineerLocation: Fully remote working in EST (once per month on call shift (12 hours)) can be located anywhere in EST time (not open to BC, Alberta ETC)Job Type: Full-timeOur client, a leader within the entertainment space, is currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. This is a fully remote position working in EST!Job Summary:The DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing our development and operational processes. This role combines expertise in development, operations, and systems engineering to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and high-performing. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD),
and is dedicated to ensuring system availability, performance, and security.Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.- Automate processes for code integration, testing, building, and deployment.- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage infrastructure effectively.- Implement and manage monitoring solutions for system performance and application health.- Analyze metrics and logs to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.- Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.- Provide rapid response to technical issues in both development and production environments.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and code.- Oversee branch and release management practices to ensure smooth deployments.- Implement and manage containerized environments using modern tools and practices.- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, deployment procedures,
and best practices.- Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and IT teams.- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and automation to drive continuous improvement.Required Skills and Experience:- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related role.- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm.- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.- Strong expertise with CI/CD tools like BitBucket, SonarQube, Jenkins, GitLab CI,
and GitHub Actions.- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Bash, Groovy, Python, Go).- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - this is a must have- Experience with incident management tools and processes (Opsgenie, JIRA ServiceDesk).- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to drive operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement.Please send your resume in Word format to Emily Heughan at [email protected] A PERM HIRE AND EARN $1,000!
