Dry Ice Processor (Full Time) - Vancouver, BC (Starting wage: $28.50 an hour)
Primary Purpose:
The Dry-Ice Operator will be responsible in the operation, supervision, and control of various dry-ice processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain the safety, health, and environmental standards of the plant
- Cut (dependent on location), pack and prepare dry ice orders for different segments of Dry Ice markets
- Load trailers and ship dry ice directly to branches or customers
- General Warehouse housekeeping
- Filling out required shipping documents
- Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Willing to work overtime as needed to meet peak product demands
- Flexible schedule as the schedule and shifts may change
- Environmental awareness and quality control
Required Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma required or equivalent
Experience
- Experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulics is preferred
Physical and Sensory Demands:
- Lifting, pushing, pulling heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time
Working Environment:
- Industrial plant production environment
