Vehicle Detailer
Job Title: Vehicle Detailer
Location: Waterdown Collision, Waterdown, ON
Reports To: Shop Manager
Waterdown Collision is a family-run Collision Repair Facility that has been serving the GHA for 50 years. Conveniently located at Highway 5 & Highway 6 in Flamborough,
our center is about to expand to a new facility, designed to utilize advanced equipment and modern technology for a 30,000sq ft. state of the art facility.
About the job:
The role of Vehicle Detailer involves ensuring vehicles are meticulously cleaned and detailed to meet high standards, both pre and post repair, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. This is a growth opportunity for the right candidate to move into the Blue Printer role with the right initiative.
Responsibilities:
· Pre-Washing Vehicles: Thoroughly pre-wash vehicles upon arrival, focusing on removing road salt, slush, dirt, and dust. Pay specific attention to repair panels as identified on the work order.
· Post-Repair Detailing: Perform interior and exterior detailing post-repair, including windows, trims, carpets, seats, and jambs. Detail and finesse vehicles as required, with training provided during onboarding.
· Maintaining Wash Bay: Keep the wash bay organized and clean. Wash detail cloths,
maintain detail equipment, and empty garbage regularly.
· Client Shuttle Service: Provide shuttle service for clients as needed. A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract are mandatory for this task.
· Rental Vehicle Inspection: Inspect rental vehicles and identify any damages not marked on the contracts.
· Pre & Post Scans: Conduct pre and post scans of vehicles as required, with training provided during on-boarding.
Requirements:
· Experience- Previous experience as a vehicle detailer or similar role preferred.
· Skills-Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently.
· Physical Requirements:-Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects repeatedly.
· Driver's License-Valid driver's license required.
Additional Skills (Optional):
· Detailing Certifications-Certification from a recognized detailing training program or institute.
· Customer Relations- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and address their concerns.
· Teamwork-Willingness to collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals.
Working Hours:
· Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Fridays: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, occasional Saturdays or overtime possible
