THE POSITION
Overview
Boyd Interactive is looking for a Royalty Analyst to analyze and report on royalty expenses prepared by the company in relation to gaming revenue. The Royalty Analyst will be responsible for the financial accounting of game royalties, including accurate and timely calculation, assessment, collection and reconciliation. This is a key role, fostering relationships with the parent corporation, internal stakeholders, casino accounts, and other gaming industry partners, providing exceptional client service to ensure reporting for royalty purposes is accurate and in compliance with legislation and business rules.
You will be responsible for providing excellent front line client services to stakeholders in accordance with the finance department’s operational processes and regulations.

A demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members, manage multiple priorities, analyze data and make recommendations is essential to your success. Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Royalty Statements to comply with vendor agreements
- Work with operations teams to identify the Operators/Contracts applicable to each game
- Track and record royalties including sales and payments according to agreements including reconciliation with vendors statements
- Ensure that all applicable taxes relating to royalties are calculated, recorded and paid on a timely basis
- Calculating and recording monthly royalty accruals
- Assist with the audit process including responding to audit inquiries, preparation of requested documents and supporting the testing of internal controls
- Improve and automate workbooks to enhance accuracy of royalty statements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation including automation, system enhancements and best practices
- Support a robust control environment ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and supporting audits thereof
THE CANDIDATE
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a related field
- Experience with royalty contracts and royalty accounting
- Proficient in MS Office programs,
especially excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, advanced formulas) and other accounting or Business Intelligence software
- Knowledge of royalty regulations and industry standards
- Experience in financial audit procedures
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Access)
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques is a plus
