Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a motivated Structural Co-op student to join our highly successful water practice in Burnaby, BC.
This position requires attendance at the Stantec Burnaby office 5 days a week for a minimum term of 4 months (applications requiring accommodations for remote work, will not be considered).
Your Key Responsibilities Providing assistance for the analysis and design of a variety of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.
Writing and editing technical reports, engineering studies, and technical specifications.
Support construction projects with field site visits and construction observation duties.
Coordinate design work with project team members, other disciplines, and other offices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Experience with structural finite element engineering design software such as SFRAME, SAP and ETABS is considered an asset.
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to meet the expectations of this position.
Ability to work independently, and as part of a multidiscipline group.
Class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset. Education and Experience Enrolment in a Bachelor's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering is required for this position. Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Salary Range(s): Lower Mainland $22.74 Per Hour - Lower Mainland $31.21 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
