Production Supervisor will oversee and manage the daily operations within the food processing plant, specializing in ethnic food products. This role is essential for ensuring that production processes are executed efficiently,





maintaining contamination-free handling practices, and aligning production outputs with company demands through proactive planning and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Production / Processing Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the food production team, focusing on the production of ethnic food products.
- Ensure that all food production equipment is maintained and operated in compliance with safety and quality standards, particularly for traditional and culturally significant food items.
- Implement and monitor contamination-free handling practices specific to ethnic food products, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
- Team Supervision and Performance Management:
- Lead, motivate,





and manage a team of production workers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to enhance performance, particularly in handling specialized ethnic ingredients and products.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs focused on the unique aspects of ethnic food processing and quality control.
- Address and resolve personnel issues, conflicts, or disciplinary matters in a culturally sensitive and effective manner.
- Production Planning and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and other departments to develop and implement production plans that align with market demand for ethnic food products.
- Analyze production data and trends specific to ethnic food markets to make informed decisions about resource allocation,





scheduling, and process improvements.
- Adjust production schedules and processes as needed to accommodate seasonal variations, festivals, and cultural events impacting product demand.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and internal policies, with a focus on maintaining the authenticity and quality of ethnic food products.
- Perform regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify and address any issues or deviations from quality standards specific to ethnic foods.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, particularly in preserving traditional recipes and techniques.
- Safety and Hygiene:






- Promote and enforce safety protocols and hygiene standards within the production area to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, with particular attention to the handling of culturally sensitive ingredients.
- Conduct safety training and drills, ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to safety procedures relevant to the processing of ethnic food products.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Product Authenticity:
- Ensure that production methods and ingredient handling practices preserve the cultural authenticity and traditional flavors of ethnic food products.
- Stay informed about cultural trends and preferences related to ethnic food to better align production with market demands.

Qualifications:

- Education:





High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in food processing or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with ethnic food products is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food processing techniques, contamination control, and food safety regulations, with a focus on ethnic food products.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to manage a diverse team.
- Proficient in production planning, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively.






- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Working Conditions:

- The role may require working in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
- May involve standing for extended periods and lifting of heavy materials.
