Senior IT Systems Specialist to provide Tier 3 support and optimize system performance.
Location: Markham - Hybrid role (3 days in office AFTER 3 month probation period)
Must be available to support global offices between 8pm and 12am.
Full Time Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks and other critical IT infrastructure.
- Perform regular updates and patches to maintain system security and functionality.
- Monitor system performance, integrity and reliability, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions to safeguard against data loss.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems to enhance efficiency.
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues for proactive resolution.
- Recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect the company’s assets from threats such as cyber-attacks, viruses and unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Mentor Junior Systems administrators.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of Tier 3 support experience
- Windows Server 2022, VMWare, M365, SharePoint, Intune, MDM & Azure cloud.
- Basic networking for troubleshoot & Azure networking
- Scripting: Power shell & SQL
- RMM: Ninja
Certifications:
- Azure Administrator Associate
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of AI
- Manufacturing/Engineering background, industry experience
