Our client, a North American leader of the packaging manufacturing industry, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead the expansion of their Markham based division. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the sales team’s performance, developing strategies to achieve revenue targets, and ensuring effective market penetration and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is driven to succeed and is motivated but both personal and professional development.
The Role:
- Generate sales growth by managing the teams selling, prospecting, and servicing new and existing customers.
- Leverage company resources to create value propositions and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments.
- Oversee departmental budgeting.
- Comply with all safety requirements and regulations, helping to instill a culture of safety.
- Oversee all sales activities within the GTA regions, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture market share.
- Track and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports to the General Manager.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience in the packaging industry is a must. With preference given to those with a strong background with corrugate materials.
- Exceptional Sales skills are a must.
- Prior leadership experience would be an asset.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, competitive, independent,
and have a strong desire to network.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in office and not remotely.
