SUMMARY OF POSITION
The role of Outreach and Marketing Assistant will support the Communications and Marketing team in the development of various outreach, promotional materials and marketing campaigns. The Assistant will also provide administrative, copywriting and data entry support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop strong understanding of CIWA’s brand and services
• Support in implementing strategies for outreach and promotion of CIWA programs and services and for identifying outreach opportunities both online and in the community
• Maintain accurate records of all CIWA outreach activities, contacts and resources in outreach log
• Prepare requirements for CIWA programs attending outreach events
• Maintain timely communication via CIWA’s online communication channels
• Work collaboratively with other outreach staff on all outreach endeavors
• Support the development of communication processes and content
• Provide ongoing support to Communications & Marketing team with day-to-day business requirements
• Evening/weekend hours may be required
• Attend and participate in CIWA events
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager including requests for additional paid hours on a temporary basis when needed

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Certificate in related field or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Canva
• Experience with database and record management
• Skills using virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams) is expected
• Experience with all aspects of social media, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize email and calendar
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS office applications
The successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search. CIWA does not cover this cost.
