Technical Support Specialist – CHC Paint and Auto Body Supplies (GTA)

Location: Greater Toronto Area
Reports to: Director of Sales - CHC Paint and Auto Body Supplies

Job Summary:
CHC Paint and Auto Body Supplies is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our technical team, providing essential support to our growing PB&E; (Paint, Body, and Equipment) sales organization. This role focuses on enhancing sales growth and ensuring customer retention by delivering technical expertise, product training, and in-shop support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive refinishing, be a great relationship manager and have the ability to service customers across the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform product demonstrations and line trials for both prospective and existing customers.
- Conduct in-shop product training for new and existing accounts as required.
- Identify and resolve product failures by diagnosing systemic causes and recommending solutions to prevent recurrence.






- Assist with resolving colour issues for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support the sales and installation of new products and equipment.
- Provide technical reviews of the repair process to ensure proper product usage, maximizing customer output and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Equipment practices during all work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive refinishing.
- Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules,





attend customer calls within varying hours.
- Knowledge of paint, chemical processes, and refinishing products.

Tools and Equipment:

- Company vehicle
- Personal computer and telephone (provided)

Physical Demands:

- Ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to tolerate various work environments, including exposure to high/low temperatures and occasional inclement driving conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of automotive refinishing experience.
- Completion of waterborne paint application training from PPG.
- Strong colour matching skills and
- I-CAR certifications are highly desirable.
