We are seeking a dedicated Finance Systems Data Engineer with solid experience in the insurance industry and expertise in ETL and PostgreSQL development to join our dynamic team.

What you'll do:

1. Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our finance systems.
2. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures in PostgreSQL.
3.





Monitor daily/monthly jobs and resolve failures (if any).
4. Collaborate with finance and insurance teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
5. Build Qlik reports.
6. Perform data analysis and solve data-related issues.
7. Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
8. Provide solutions by building complex Finance calculations using Postgres store procedure or ETL.
9. Monitor and improve the performance of ETL processes and database systems.
10. Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and database schemas.
11. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and database management.

What you'll bring:

1. Experience in the insurance industry & able to understand underwriting data terminology.
2. Experience in supporting finance systems.
3. Knowledge in Oracle Fusion applications including sub-modules such as accounts payable, Cash management & fixed assets.
4.





Demonstrable experience as an ETL Developer (Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica BDM).
5. Experience as a PostgreSQL Developer.
6. Experience in Guidewire Policy, Billing & Claims Centers.
7. Experience on automation tools like Control-M, ASG ZENA Experience in writing Unix scripts.
8. Experience in Qlik & Python reporting.
9. Experience with Snowflake.
10. Solid understanding of accounting principles (Balance sheet/P&L; concepts).
11. Expertise in ETL tools (especially Informatica) and PostgreSQL.
12. Strong expertise in Postgres and database design.
13. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
14. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
15. Experience in Agile methodology & JIRA.
16. Above average communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
18. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field an asset.
19. Informatica Certified Professional (ICP) and/or Informatica Foundation Level Certifications (IDMC, CDCG, MDM etc.) preferred.
20. Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, MySQL). SQL Associate Certification an asset.
21. Guidewire professional certifications an asset.
22. Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Snowflake) preferred.
23. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Python, Power BI) an asset.

What you’ll get:

1. The salary band for this position ranges from $71,300 to $132,300. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience,





as well as internal equity.
