Full job description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Meat Supervisor to oversee the meat department in our Newmarket location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background meat merchandising and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to meet customer needs
- Place and process meat deliveries/orders
- Merchandising of product
- Increase store sales by actively promoting products
- Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory and presentation of products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred but not required.
