We are actively looking to fill the following role within our Levack Complex within Sudbury, Ontario.
- Health, Safety and Training Administrator – 2024-31
Scope of the role
The Health, Safety and Training Administrator is responsible to provide HSE related administrative support. This role is key in the management of the departments’ organization and efficiency.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to the HSE Superintendent, Training Supervisor, and all other site Managers as required;
- Track, audit & schedule any required training (Mine Rescue, First Aid, Medicals, Working at Heights, etc.);
- Create training/orientation packages for the Training department;
- Maintain training & orientation records and upload all government related modules on the Ontario Web Key Portal;
- Maintain the Intelex system in regards to training records, adding/updating of employee information;
- Maintain and update the documents and procedures database (Site Specifics, All Mine Standards, Emergency Procedures, Investigation Recommendations, Legislated compliance, etc.);
- Create and maintain legislated packages & safety packages for site personnel (Powerpoints, Safety talks, Supervisor compliance, etc.);
- Assist the HSE team in developing and implementing safety initiatives to help reduce workplace risk and improve efficiency;
- Facilitate HSE related tasks such as Risk Assessments, creation & updates of procedures, etc.;
- Assist with Mine Rescue related tasks (ordering of PPE, etc.).
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role considered an asset;
- Business Administration Certificate or equivalent from a College or University would be an asset;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively;
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality;
- Accuracy and attention to detail are required;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize;
- Above average computer skills;
- Experienced in Microsoft Office.
