Position: Sr. Business Analyst to support Summit and Derivatives assets project for a major insurance client - 5185

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Location: Hybrid Toronto/Waterloo 3x onsite

Job ID: 5185

Must Haves:

- 5+ yrs exp as a Business Analyst with Fixed Income investment asset knowledge with focus on Derivatives.
- Experience with Derivatives management systems such as Summit or Calypso.
- Strong and broad domain knowledge of investment financial instruments and asset management business.
- Practical experience in data analytics, including data collection, analysis, and modelling.






- Practical experience in data extraction with reporting tools such as SQL, PowerBI or API.

Nice to Haves:

- Insurance experience

Responsibilities:

1. Partner with stakeholders, vendors, leaders, application development and testers to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced, growing asset management environment.
2. Establish and maintain trusted advisory roles with clients by gathering and analyzing information to provide recommendations to address business issues.
3. Manage discussions, conflicts, and negotiations through to resolution, using communication strategies that align with different audience styles, environments and/or cultures.
4. Define and clearly articulate problem statements to allow for collaboration on solutions that meet client and business needs.
5.





Facilitate sessions and drive discussions to uncover critical and/or hidden requirements, the true business need, and associated risks.
