Over the years we have had many firsts.Today, OSI Maritime Systems is a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations. Among those solutions, the company develops and delivers integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft. Presently, 23navies totaling more than 600 warships and submarines operate using OSI systems. Due to the nature of our company, all employees must pass specific security criteria. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens,





have PR status or have a citizenship from a NATO country, and who satisfy security clearance criteria, will be considered.

The Role

Working within the PMO, the Project Manager is responsible for building and leading a multi-disciplinary integrated Project Team that is tasked with achieving the fiscal commitments of the Project while providing an excellent solution delivery experience to our Customers and growth opportunities for OSI team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Working with the Program Manager build and retain a highly performing Project Team
- Providing leadership to the Project Team through the application of best practice management techniques
- Providing timely performance feedback to the Project Team
- Delivering Projects on budget and schedule and to the satisfaction of Customers and internal stakeholders.
- Achieving Project financial commitments including revenue, GM and cash flow.
- Ensures a very close working relationship with the Project Engineer






- Autonomous and absolute decision making authority within the confines of the project objectives
- Single point of accountability for all project activities and objectives
- Responsible for achieving Project margin and revenue targets and other objectives as agreed
- Representing OSI at Customer meetings
- Understanding and managing all key Project Stakeholders
- Building excellent Customer relationships
- Growing the scope of the Project and laying the groundwork for future business
- Leads the Bid Team during the Proposal phase of Projects
- Identifying process deficiencies and recommending and implementing improvements






- Distributes work packages to the team and monitors progress throughout the project cycle against schedule and budget; acts to ensure problem resolution is taking place as necessary
- Executing Project Controls, including but not limited to:
- Maintains the Project Risk Register advising stakeholders of the Project risk profile on a regular basis
- Maintains the Project Schedule and ensures that internal stakeholders are aware of their delivery obligations
- Provides the customer with frequent updates on the Project
- Provides routine and regular project reports to the Program Manager and Director, Programs as well as other internal and external stakeholders
- Manages and controls any sub-contractors that are part of the project team
- Working with the Project Accountant to understand and ensure that financial objectives of the Project are met






- Ensure the Project is executed according to the OSI QMS
- Ensures the Project complies with applicable Regulatory requirements

You Bring

- Education: Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Formal Project Management training (PMP/APM/PRINCE2) an asset.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering organizations with a minimum of 7 years as a Project Manager; A proven track record of successfully delivering large complex systems (> $5M) in a multi-discipline, multi stakeholder environment.
- Skills: Advanced communication skills (written and verbal); ability to think innovatively; ability to work autonomously; strong skills in organizing and facilitating project plan work flow between applicable parties

In-depth knowledge of marine navigation systems and markets is favorable, formal business qualifications and training would be an asset, ability and willingness to travel as necessary is required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required
