Full job description
Cheeky Duck Vineyard is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused part-time servers to join our dynamic team. As a server, you will play a key role in providing exceptional guest experiences at our vineyard’s tasting room and restaurant. Ideal candidates will have a passion for wine and food, enjoy interacting with guests, and have a keen eye for detail in delivering top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
- Present, describe, and suggest menu items, including wine pairings, with knowledge of the vineyard's offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them in a timely manner.
- Ensure tables are clean, set, and maintained according to service standards.
- Assist in wine tastings, providing information about the vineyard, the wine-making process, and specific wines.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and tasting room, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
- Assist in set-up and breakdown of service areas for events or daily operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Uphold the vineyard’s standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
- Prior serving experience in a restaurant, bar, or vineyard environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of wine or willingness to learn about wine and food pairings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to serve alcohol in Ontario.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
