Alta Vista Animal Hospital is welcoming a Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our team of skilled veterinary professionals.
While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training! This is a full time, 18 month term position ending February 2026.
Our treatment team members are our superstars of all things patient care related.
These caring, and busy individuals ensure that all hospitalized patients are treated like one of their own during their stay.
Have completed a Veterinary Technician/Technologist or Animal Health Technician/Technologist program.

New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply!

Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
Passion to learn more within the role.
A love for all companion animals!!
Schedule: Treatment shifts are 10 to 12 hours in length and are a mixture of days, evenings and overnights on a rotational basis.

About us: Working in conjunction with our ICU / Critical Care team, the treatment members care for patients from our ER, GP and specialty departments.
Our board certified specialists provide care in surgery, cardiology, oncology, critical care,
dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry and oncology and have access to on-site MRI, Fluoroscopy and CT diagnostics.
With a dedicated staff of 160, including 30 veterinarians, we offer excellence in veterinary medicine because we are passionate about what we do!
