On behalf of our government client in Edmonton, Procom is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex IT modernization programs for a 6 month contract position. This position is fully remote.
Senior Project Manager Job Details
This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the Environment and Parks Alberta (EPA) ministry on a transformative business transformation program. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and Agile methodologies.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for all IT initiatives across a program area.
Your duties will include:
- Developing program management strategies, managing budgets and deadlines, coordinating project team activities, and ensuring alignment with the Ministries enterprise architecture.
- You will compile program/project charters, maintain program forecasts, and provide leadership in strategic planning and program communications.
- Additionally, you will collaborate with IT partners, manage resource allocation, and drive change management and communication efforts.
Senior Project Manager Mandatory Skills
- University Graduation in Business with 4 years of PM experience, or a 2-year Diploma in Business Management with 6 years of PM experience, or 8 years of PM experience.
- 8 years of experience developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships at the executive level.
- 8 years of experience developing program documents, including risk logs and status reporting.
- 5 years of experience in Agile project methodology.
- 8 years of experience in a project or program management role.
- 8 years of experience managing multiple resources and/or delivery teams.
- 3 years of experience as a Senior Program Manager in large complex IT modernization programs.
- 8 years of senior leadership experience defining program goals and managing a portfolio of projects with a team of at least 10 people.
- 8 years of experience in a complex business and technical IT environment.
Senior Project Manager Desired Skills
- 6 years of experience in business or technical analysis.
- 6 years of experience leading software implementations.
- 6 years of experience managing Service Design Development and Agile delivery projects.
- 6 years of experience with the ServiceNow platform.
- 3 years of experience working in or for the public sector.
- 6 years of senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- 5 years of experience in project governance.
