Position Description
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Par Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team where the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manual software quality assurance testing.
As we continue our flexible workplace arrangements, it is crucial for our employees to ensure they have a reliable internet and cellular connection in place. Strong and stable connectivity in our work locations allows for smooth communication, seamless collaboration, and uninterrupted productivity.

What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of quality assurance experience in the software industry.
- Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process, product quality and reliability.
- Understanding of standard QA practices and strategies.
- Strong functional testing background, including defining test strategies, test planning, test case design, and execution.
- Candidate will have strong attention to detail.
- Capable of learning and documenting a highly configurable product.
- Candidate who strives to understand how things work, but will ask questions when appropriate.
- Must be detail oriented, reliable and have the ability to work both in a team environment and alone with general direction and supervision.
- Ability to understand REST or SOAP API, JSON and XML formats. Experience using API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI a plus.
- Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
What You will Do and Be Responsible For
- Candidate will be involved in all aspects of the teams’ testing, including manual regression testing, ad hoc testing, API testing.
- Learning product and applying knowledge to all testing.
- Learning and implementing various toolsets to effectively conduct testing.
- Developing detailed testing approaches and plans for specific test areas.
- Writing clear, easy-to-follow test cases.
- Writing comprehensive and complete test plans.
- Writing clear and concise documentation.
- Conducting test case reviews and ensuring requirements traceability, proper coverage.
- Analyzing identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, replicating and resolve the defect.
- With guidance, able to design test strategies and test cases for complex systems.
- Executing various types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on a variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks).
