Your role within the team:

The selected candidate will be key to support the strategy and execution of the successful development of a project.

Oversee and lead Project Controls strategy:

1. Participate in developing, enhancing,





and adhering to project controls processes and procedures.
2. Develop and lead Project Controls strategy for the project and Joint Venture.
3. Ensure Joint Venture partners are apprised through reporting and status updates.
4. Responsible for smooth operation and management of project controls teams.
5. Identify and resolve issues, key variances, and develop corrective action planning.
6. Report to a Project Director.
7. Create functional team strategy and lead a team of Planners and Cost controllers and conduct performance evaluations.
8. Client interface with respect to the project.

The ideal candidate:

- Possess post-secondary education i.e. diploma or degree B.A., B.Sc, B.Eng, B.Com, PMP, AACE, or possess equivalent relevant industry experience in senior roles within project controls and/or project management, preferably with nuclear experience.
- 15+ years of relevant Project cost and Schedule control experience, with 5-10 years leading teams in complex engineering and construction project environments.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities, including the ability to learn new software as per company standards.






- Expert knowledge of PMBOK / PMI project management techniques including hands-on experience applying on large projects (i.e. critical path method planning, progress measurement and earned value techniques, analyzing data, and complex project reporting). Strong knowledge of general project controls policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
- Ability to develop, build, and maintain good working relationships leading a Project Controls team.






- Ability to communicate effectively to senior management.
- Ability to mentor junior and intermediate staff and work with senior staff.
