Construction Site Operations/Project Manager
Window Wall Systems
Location: Toronto and surrounding GTA
Salary: $100-$130K + Bonus + Benefits + Company Vehicle
About the Company
Based in Toronto, and with customers all over North America, our client is a well-established window wall systems manufacturer that designs and installs for high rise developments. They are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager/Site Supervisor to lead in the construction of projects all over the Greater Toronto area.
Qualifications
1. 7+ years’ experience in storefront & curtain wall project management and window systems required.
2. Experienced with stick-built systems (storefront & curtain wall).
3.
Experienced with Alum & glass doors (and hardware).
4. Strong ability to read and fully understand shop drawings, architectural & structural drawings.
5. Knowledge of coordination to structure and other trades.
6. Knowledge of extrusion take-offs.
7. Strong understanding of contract document requirements (contract, drawings, specifications).
Skills Required:
1. A degree in construction related field (Civil, Architecture, etc.), project management credential will be an asset.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in high rise buildings.
3. CPM, PMP or LEED AP Certifications are a plus.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and 5 years experience with AutoCAD.
5. Experience working in a manufacturing environment being able to work on site and at heights.
This position is responsible to manage and work directly with clients and vendors to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
1. Meet with clients and vendors to clarify specific requirements of each project.
2. Perform site measurements and site conflict resolutions.
3. Perform drawing reviews in both shop drawing and fabrication stages.
4. Meet budgetary objectives based on project materials, travel requirements and other.
5. Communicate & manage projects strategies that increase efficiency or reduce cost.
6. Manage, organize tasks, time, resources and people.
7. Develop and keep detailed project’s records, generate standard reports and deliverables.
8. Direct and manage assigned projects from beginning to end and track performance.
9.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value.
10. Conduct project post mortems and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
11. Working with Senior project Manager to update construction schedules on master schedules for assigned jobs.
12. Drawings preparations based on site measurements.
13. Working on material orders, estimate material requirement, order glass, back pans, MP, maintain detailed and organized records of all project related documents.
14. Prepare & Manage Project Schedules.
15. Travelling if required (Travel days are counted as working days).
16. Perform other related responsibilities as required or assigned.
17. Ensure compliance with company policies, communications and reporting.
18.
Interface with preconstruction and manufacturing groups as required.
19. Promote a safe environment and reinforce safety guidelines and protocols.
