Rollins Machinery, a lower mainland-based equipment distributor, is growing and we are currently looking for motivated individuals to fill multiple Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic / Service Technician positions at all of our locations in British Columbia, Canada: Langley (head office), Chilliwack, Chemainus, and Kelowna.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-delivery work, new installations, diagnose, disassemble, correct malfunctions and do repairs of all municipal refuse truck bodies; agricultural, mowing and paving equipment; and various other lines that Rollins Machinery represents (vineyard equipment knowledge is an asset for the Kelowna location).
- Maintaining logs of equipment condition and work performed (work orders).
- Specialized training will be provided as available.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ticket in heavy-duty mechanics, with the ideal candidate being an experienced mechanic and certified Journeyperson in the Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade. 2+ year Apprentices, with relevant experience, may also be considered.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of refuse truck bodies, farm, paving and mowing equipment is considered an asset.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is an asset.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the mechanic trade (ability to lift at least 75lbs).
- Committed to customer service, efficiency, service excellence, and achievement.
- Ability to communicate (oral & written) and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel.
- Having your own tools is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 would be an asset).
- Positive work ethic.

SALARY
- $35 - $45 per hour, based on experience, skills and qualifications.
