The Peel District School Board (PDSB) is a racially, culturally and linguistically diverse board that serves 155,000+ students and approximately 17,000 employees. Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor IT Service Desk, the successful applicant will provide help-desk support for all PDSB equipment and applications.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include remote, first-level telephone support for employees, and the PDSB community including parents and guardians. In addition, the candidate will provide software testing, author documentation, conduct training sessions and workshops. Help-desk support will entail supporting all hardware, websites, corporate applications, cloud services, networks, telephony, and communication equipment. The candidate will support school staff by installing application software and operating system software; Training and onboarding staff with custom PDSB applications; providing technical assistance to school staff in the set-up and use of software,





hardware and peripherals; collaborating with the IT teams to create and maintain documentation for both end users, and field support staff; and operating system software, directing equipment for repair and monitoring repair process; testing, debugging and evaluating operating systems, applications software and user interface; other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in applicable discipline or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience in technical support and/or help-desk environments.
- Expertise in supporting several of the following areas is desired: Windows Active Directory Environments’; RDP; IT Call Tracking (ServiceNow, Ivanti, Remedy), Virtual Learning Environments (Brightspace, Google Classroom) Chromebooks, iOS, MacOS, and TCPIP, Ethernet and WiFi Networks.






- Experience with supporting multiple Microsoft 365 products (Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Experience with Corporate business applications Human Resources Applications, Financial Applications, and Student Information Systems.
- Experience in presenting, designing, and implementing effective training programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with Board personnel technical staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment
- Record of satisfactory on-the-job performance while employed by the Peel District School Board.
