Responsibilities
What you will be doing…
- You will play a key role in the coordination, delivery and promotion of services and events offered in the Library and Learning Commons.
This work includes supporting students with technology; providing guidance and support in accessing and using learning support; making referrals to internal and external resources; and collecting and recording service delivery data.
- You will invigilate internal and external testing, consult with faculty on testing requirements and ensure that academic and testing policies and protocols are followed.
- You will liaise with Student Accessibility Specialists on approved test accommodation and the assistive technology needs of students with disabilities. Working with the Manager of Student Services you will also support campus events, activities, and initiatives such as convocation, Get Started and Open House. This position may require some evening and Saturday hours.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in an area related to Adult Education, Educational Technology, Administrative and Business Services or Social Services, Library Technician.
- You have a minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent)
of recent and related occupational experience.
- Occupational experience that includes working in an adult educational environment would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, Office 365 and Assistive Technology, such as Read and Write.
- Experience with PeopleSoft, Brightspace, EnCampus, Alma, and Pearson would be assets.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
- Experience supporting/providing service to students in post-secondary, including supporting students with assistive technology would be considered an asset.
- You have experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, printers, and photocopiers.
