Manager, Acquisition Integrations

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Smile Innovations Group is an investment company focusing on the consolidation of dental labs and development of dental products and services. Our management team has a long history and experience in the dental and financial industries providing a wide range of knowledge. Our team has been involved in a long list of M&A; deals and has experience in the operational management of large-scale businesses.

Description:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and working closely with the executive team, the Acquisition Integration Manager will play a key role in the creation and delivery of a disciplined integration strategy,





process and execution plan for all newly acquired labs. The Acquisition Integrations Manager is responsible for managing the post-acquisition integration of companies into the existing organizational structure. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of people, processes, and systems following acquisitions. The manager will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to execute strategic goals, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure cultural alignment between the parent company and acquired entities.

Integration Planning:

- Oversee the team in combining functions of an acquired lab with existing established processes and practices

- Assist with the launch of functional integration teams so they understand their responsibilities and are organized for success

- Develop and manage comprehensive integration plans for newly acquired companies.

- Define integration milestones and timelines in collaboration with functional leaders.







- Identify and prioritize key areas for integration, including systems, operations, HR, IT, finance/accounting and culture.

Project Management:

- Oversee and manage the end-to-end integration process.

- Lead cross-functional integration teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

- Track progress, resolve issues, and adapt plans as necessary to meet objectives.

- Prepare a communication plan for employees in both companies and all other stakeholders (i.e., customers, suppliers, vendors, partners, recruits, communities, etc.)

- Brief the acquired management team and employees so that they understand the integration process and how it will impact them

- Provide the team with clear assignments, common formats for their outputs,





disciplined timelines, communication mechanisms and review processes

- Motivate and involve new employees and managers; inspire the team by making the integration process exciting

- Act as a bridge between SIG and newly acquired employees; be available to answer questions and provide guidance

- Escalate issues requiring senior-level input so they are resolved quickly and effectively (identify pain-points)

- Document any handoffs to business line leaders at the end of the transition period

- Capture lessons learned and recommendations for future acquisitions

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Liaise with senior leadership and department heads to align integration goals with company strategy.







- Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition for employees and stakeholders of the acquired company.

- Serve as the main point of contact for acquired companies throughout the integration process.

Risk Management:

- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to integration, such as operational disruptions, employee retention, and cultural clashes.

- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements during the integration phase.

Financial & Operational Alignment:

- Work closely with finance teams to ensure the alignment of financial reporting, budgeting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Collaborate with IT and operational departments to harmonize processes, systems, and technology infrastructure.

Cultural Integration:







- Lead initiatives to integrate company cultures, focusing on values, communication, and leadership alignment.

- Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain key talent from the acquired organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- 7+ years of experience in M&A;, corporate development, or project management.

- Proven track record of managing complex post-acquisition integrations.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across departments.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.

- Experience with financial modeling, systems integration,





and operational planning is a plus.

Skills:

- Project management expertise with a certification like PMP (preferred but not required).

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle tight deadlines.

- Strong understanding of financial processes, ERP systems, and organizational structures.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of M&A; processes, legal frameworks, and best practices in integration.

- Bilingual (French and English) an asset

- Dental industry knowledge an asset
