Job Description
Our dynamic and established client is seeking a meticulous and committed Finance Clerk for a short-term contract in Halifax, NS. As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the organizations’ financial operations by supporting the finance team in accounts payable and payroll duties.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Payroll registration
- Time recording and time sheet tracking
- Issuing records of employment
- Coding and posting invoices
- Tracking invoices and following up on outstanding issues
- Preparing Excel logs
- Assisting with general financial reporting and data management as needed
- Other duties as required
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar versatile support role
- High level of confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Proper time management abilities in a deadline driven environment
- Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on written skills
- Problem-solving attitude
