Responsibilities

Profitable Sales Growth

- Achieve sales target. Create and implement sales strategies that drive sales growth beyond targets.
- Partner directly with and conduct normal business development activity with customers as appropriate for relationship enhancement, connectivity to market, address and resolve escalated issues.
- Access, understand,





and leverage data efficiently and take appropriate action to react to sales indicators and revise action/activity as appropriate to optimize profitability.

Operational Excellence

- Understand and follow all laws, regulations, and internal policies related to Managerial responsibilities.
- Understand and support all company procedures established for branch operational procedures.
- Access and understand data and KPI’s to maintain performance standards or meet objectives, and to pursue efficiency and cost improvement opportunities.
- Accurately complete and closely monitor and manage accurate time & attendance records and associated labor costs.

Employee Performance Management & Development

- Use 1 year plan to establish connectivity in branch goals and individual employee goals.






- Complete meaningful & timely employee evaluations in accordance with PMP program.
- Support OTR process with objective evaluations and employee development plans.

Leadership

- Empowers others to succeed by setting the mission & vision
- Demonstrates impactful, well thought-out problem-solving skills
- Focusses on team development and communicates in a highly effective manner
- Adhere to Code of Conduct and all company policies.
- Lead by example. Project valued behaviors' in all interactions with customers, suppliers, and employees.

Business Strategy

- Analyze data and other market and industry intelligence to determine appropriate action/reaction within established authority on levers including staffing levels,





discretionary spending including responsible T&E; expenses, inventory levels etc.
- Analyze data, establish business case and present proposals for ideas or plans beyond authority to Sr. VP. related to overall business strategy, product requests, branch locations, and other tools required to support business which will grow the right areas of the organization & capture best practices to scale

Qualifications:

Educational/Experience/Skill

- Evolved experience in a sales leadership role preferably in distribution
- High level of comfort partnering with Operations with the ability/aptitude to lead operations
- Building products experience is ideal
- Financial acumen with working knowledge of P&L;’s
- Post-secondary education – preferably business or management related






- Computer proficiency – Microsoft office, excel, Salesforce, AS 400, PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication skills required for internal and external contacts.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Behavioral/Mental/Physical Effort

- A natural leader who is highly influential.
- Exceptional ability to multi-task and triage for optimal outcomes
- Poise under pressure in fast-paced environment when dealing with employee and customer issues
- Regular travel required for customer interaction and company meetings
- No physical exertion

Aptitude

- Reasoning and Judgement – gather& disseminate information and solve problems
- Perceptual Speed in recognizing details including error/accuracy






- Numeracy – comfortable with quantitative concepts, handling numbers - i.e. cash, inventory etc.
