Senior Financial Analyst
Our Calgary client is searching for a Senior Finance Analyst who is highly motivated and a creative problem-solver to join their team.
An ideal candidate will be a team player who strives for excellence in reporting accuracy enjoys working within a team environment.
This position will appeal to individuals who enjoy a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A;
- Responsible for treasury accounting and cash management
- Coordinate banking transactions, including letters of credit
- Prepare daily cash reports
- Forecast cash requirements and assists with short-term investment decisions
- Monitor and review working capital positions monthly
- Perform accounting research and policy documentation and implementation
- Assist or coordinates FP&A; activities (experience dependent)
- Auditor facilitation
- Testing, maintenance and monitoring internal controls
- Ad hoc reporting and projects as required
Your strengths include :
- CPA designation and public practice experience
- Expertise in financial reporting and IFRS accounting standards
- 3+ years of oil and gas experience
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Qbyte or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong digital environment skills and a drive for process excellence
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
