The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is responsible for the stewardship ofthe Port of Vancouver, Canada's largest and most diversified port.

Our mandateas a Canada Port Authority, as set out by the Canada Marine Act, is to enable

Canada's trade objectives, ensuring goods are moved safely and responsiblythrough the Port of Vancouver.

That means providing infrastructure and ensuringthe safe and efficient movement of marine traffic and cargo within the port.







Italso means we carry out reviews of proposed activities and developments onfederal port lands and waters to determine whether a project can go aheadwithout impacts to the environment and community that cannot be mitigated.

This position isresponsible for providing financial analyses and business case development ofcomplex operating and capital projects and programs, and supporting revenuestructures.

The senior financial analyst provides variance analysis tooperating departments and programs, assists in the annual development of VFPA's5 year financial plan, operating budget and capital plans, and the corporatebalanced scorecards.

This position also provides assessment on corporatecapital affordability.

What you do: Develop new and update existingfinancial models,





and perform NPV/IRR financial analyses of complexprojects, programs and/or fees.

Analyse key performance indicators, and provide financial guidanceand inputs to departments as required to drive improvements in businessperformance
Provide information and analysisto support business case development for the organization's projects andprograms, including consideration of alternative approaches, analysis ofkey risks, and development of mitigations where optimal
Provide financial analysis tosupport business negotiations including real estate leases, landacquisitions and other commercial arrangements, including collaborationwith external consultants with a focus on ensuring accuracy andreliability of external data model
Develop VFPA's and subsidiaryrevenue forecasts,





capital plans, annual operating budget including thegathering of financial inputs and assumptions.

Perform analysis on operating budget andreforecasts.

Develop and updatecorporate financial model, analyze corporate capital affordability andprovide input to the 5-year business plan
Provide accurate, complete, andtimely variance analysis on departmental costs, which can include salariesand benefits and other operating expenses to support department managementin cost control, and assist in the formulation of follow-up action plans,providing commentary as required.

Assist management with development ofproject cost estimates and operating and capital reforecasts
Support the development of VFPA'sannual corporate balanced scorecards,





including efficiency metrics andsubsequent progress reporting, and support the development of VFPA'sannual strategic initiatives and interdepartmental initiatives
Present financial analysis andbusiness case results to Executive Leadership Team, and supportpresentation materials for Audit Committee and Board of Directors meetings
Lead, coordinate, propose andimplement improvements to work processes for financial planning andanalysis to enable accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
What you bring: Bachelor of

Commerce or Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance, oranother acceptable field
Minimum of fouryears' experience in management reporting,





budgeting and financial analysis,including experience with developing business cases and capital plans
Advanced Excelskills required with demonstrated ability to build and maintain financialmodels
A Chartered

Professional Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst or other similardesignations are considered assets
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including theability to liaise effectively and positively
An aptitude andability for tactful and diplomatic interaction, along with solid analyticalabilities
Detail orientedand committed to a high level of accuracy
Highlymotivated and proactive individual with a strong orientation to customerservice coupled with the ability to facilitate information gathering
Able to workindependently and as a member of the team,





with ability to prioritize workloadand to work under pressure
