There is Grade Group Collaboration and integration of technology that includes iPads, laptops and an Apple TV. This school has a high ELL populationSubject Specialist Teachers teach a classroom while the regular classroom teacher is taking their prep time. As a Subject Specialist Teacher, in many cases you will be teaching one or two specific subjects for a variety of teachers in 30 to 45 minute blocks of time.Subject Specialist Teachers implement BC Curriculum and assess students in one or two specific subject areas. A teacher may work with several different classes in a day, focusing on those specific subjects only. Examples are music, fine arts (visual arts, drama), STEM/design and technology, French, physical and health education, science. Subjects for this position is PE and Health.
Successful candidates who are not certified with the Teacher Regulation Branch will be supported in the application for a letter of permission. Surrey Schools will provide training to orient non-certified educators to BC Curriculum and District Priority Practices. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree Other certification/experience working with young children in an organized environment (i.e. Early Childhood Educator)Preferred requirements: BC Teaching Certificate of QualificationIf you are a certified teacher, the full time annual salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.Uncertified teachers, on a letter of permission,
