The Operations Scheduler/Dispatcher will assist in the tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.

Position: Branch Scheduler (Kingston)
Site: Kingston Office
Hours: Monday to Friday 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Overtime Method: Employee Standards Act (ESA)
Pay Rate: $20.00

Job Description:

- Communicates information to Clients and Security Staff using telecommunications systems and equipment, through email and phone calls
- Answers calls received by Hospital Staff, Security Staff and General Public and dispatch Security Staff accordingly
- Interacts with Police, the Fire Department, and EMS if required
- Update and maintains Security Staff schedules as changes arise during shift as well as filling shifts as vacancies arise






- Strategically plan schedules to utilize resources effectively and efficiently to avoid unnecessary overtime
- Provide information to staff as requested regarding additional shifts, coverages, and shift availability/locations
- Consistently update management with accurate daily Open Shift Logs
- Create, update, and modify work schedules for Security Guards within Paladin Security for Ottawa and Kingston

Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of the Security industry is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of ESA, Human Rights, and Labour Relations
