About Our Opportunity
As a valued member of the System Integration Digital Health team, reporting to the Director Digital Strategy & Governance. This position is responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the patient experience within the Nova Scotia Health System and providing insights on impactful actions to strategically improve the digital delivery of care.
Primary Accountabilities
As the Patient Experience Lead, you will be:
- Focused on enhancing patient experiences and insights as they interact with the Health System, emphasizing how their digital journey has been supported and improved.
- Identifying patient needs through data, insights, and engagement to guide our investments in digital solutions.
- Identifying where the system can continuously improve their digital delivery.
- Support the development of policy and guidelines as it relates to patients.
- Act as a compassionate leader advocating on behalf of patients.
Qualifications and Experience
As the ideal candidate for this position you will have a bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of progressive experience in a related field. An acceptable equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered.

You will possess:
- Significant experience managing engagement with internal and/or external stakeholders,
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of government,
and familiarity with the NS health system including health authorities, long term care, primary care and more.
- Excellent strategizing, organizational and planning skills,
- Superior project management and time management skills.
In addition to the above, you will possess strong skills in Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability and desire to learn new programs. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the purpose of correspondence management would be considered an asset.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a high level of competence in both written and verbal communication. As decisions and recommendations may be highly sensitive and political,
you will have excellent judgement, a high degree of professionalism along with respect for discretion and confidentiality of information. You must be able to effectively prioritize and respond to high volumes of work.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Working Conditions
- Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
- May be required to work overtime on occasion
