The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the division. The is not limited to all daily operations, purchasing, inventory management, distribution, finance, and administration identify business growth plans, achieve sales and revenue goals, client loyalty and retention. The strategic, results-oriented, and creative individual will work alongside the management team to communicate a consistent message across divisions and markets to strengthen and advance their global growth strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to juggle and remain focused on multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
• Meeting with the Executive team to develop and execute long-term growth plan
• Conduct rigorous organizational structure and talent review of the Retail division; develop and implement development plans as needed
• Provide visible leadership in all facilities and model the company’s vision and values across all sites; ensure alignment to division goals and priorities
• Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, and monitor daily operations to ensure exceptional delivery of service to clients
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures
• Manage key performance indicators relative to sales growth, collections, productivity, inventory control and profit margins
• Oversee P& L and identify opportunities for growth in local and regional markets
• Manage, train, and develop Operations staff in hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems
Job Requirements:
Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience leading an end-to-end customer-facing operations
• Exceptional ability to consider all the detail, while simultaneously focusing on the “big picture”
• Excellent ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a team, clients, and internal managers
• Building materials industry an asset
• Ability to manage, influence and plan in a dynamic environment
• Strong ability to demonstrate analysis and problem-solving skills, while managing a team to execute a dynamic operational plan
• Calm demeanor with a bias for action and taking the initiative to ensure results.
